New Smart Lipo
(Advanced Laser Lipolysis)
About Advanced Laser Lipolysis
Advanced Laser Lipo uses a laser to liquefy areas of unwanted fat which can then be suctioned away smoothly instead of using a high pressure vacuum such as in traditional liposuction. There are several different laser devices on the market now.

The Knightsbridge Laser Clinic utilizes the new Osyris Pharaon 980 nm Diode Laser and a 600nm laser fiber to target the fat. The laser breaks down the fat into liquid debris and the liquefied fat can then be removed. The laser also stimulates collagen growth in the skin, leading to skin tightening helping achieve a smooth, sculptured look.
The Advantages of Advanced Laser Lipolysis
There are several advantages of Laser Lipo compared to traditional liposuction:
- Minimal discomfort
- Local anaesthetic as compared to general anaesthetic
- Minimal downtime (most patients can resume normal daily activities the next day)
- Compression garments are only worn for 1-2 weeks as opposed to 6-8 weeks
- Side-effects such as pain, bruising, loose skin, scarring and irregularities are reduced
FAQ for Smart Lipo (Advanced Laser Lipolysis)
How much does Smart Lipo Cost?

Is Laser Lipo suitable for you?
Laser Lipo can help remove stubborn localised pockets of fat in areas such as love handles, upper and lower abdomen, double chin, inner and outer thighs, hips, bottom, upper arms, face and male breast. However, it should not be considered a weight-loss procedure. If you are in good health, follow a sensible diet and have an active lifestyle and are not overweight but you wish to lose stubborn pockets of fat, Laser Lipo is ideal – whatever your age.
What happens during the procedure?
First you will be offered a free initial consultation where you can discuss your needs with your preferred doctor. This is a good opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, the procedure in detail and how much it will cost. The procedure itself may take as little as 45 minutes. After local anaesthetic is applied to the area, the laser probe is inserted through a tiny incision (1-3mm) in the skin. Once in contact with the fat, the laser breaks down the fat into a liquid debris. At the Knightsbridge Laser Clinic we opt to gently aspirate (suck out) the liquefied fat as this enables larger amounts to be removed and can usually speed up the results. Most patients start to see improvements around six to eight weeks and final results after six to seven months, depending on the treatment area.
